Bill Abernathy Tells It Like It Is On “More Than Meets The Eye”

Bill Abernathy returns with his latest effort “More Than Meets The Eye,” and it is one of his most thrilling releases to date. The Kansas City Americana artist offers up one of the more introspective tracks he has in his discography, and it cannot come at a better time than after an abrupt two-year gap that saw zero releases from the singer-songwriter. A barren landscape is painted by the few instruments that back Abernathy with simplistic guitar plucks that end in a cacophony as the sound swells out of nowhere. His rich, bass-baritone vocals fill the empty spaces of the instrumental, a hallmark of his music that fans of his have come to love dearly. On the lyric side of the record, Abernathy sings of the “rose-colored glasses adopted by the masses” to shield their eyes from the true nature of the world we live in. The “disillusion” and “false-flagging indoctrination” that dictate our society must be broken to live the life we say we want so desperately. Bill Abernathy  tells it how it is, and we urge you to hear him out on it!
